Weeks 4 and 5

What a great two weeks in our classroom! We are getting into the swing of using weekly work plans to manage assignments and independent work time. We also finished reading Matilda, which was much-loved by all. We are in the middle of our first large writing unit, the personal narrative. Many students are still editing and revising, while others are finishing up their final copies. We have begun some larger projects, research, and cursive handwriting as well. Enjoy our two weeks in photos!

1st years working on verbs

A student-initiated project all finished--the states traced and labeled

The 3rd years worked on each states' major crop/food exports after reading a story called Supermarket, which explores the history of modern grocery stores.
