Meet Our Classroom Pet

I'm sure your students have told you a bit about our classroom pet. We have a seven-week-old hedgehog, named Radley, and I think the kids are already in love with him.

Fun facts about hedgehogs:

-Hedgehogs are nocturnal.

-Domestic hedgehogs eat cat food.

-Hedgehogs are hypoallergenic. 

-When in a defensive ball, hedgehog quills are quite sharp. But, if the hedgehog is relaxed, the quills feel like the bristles of a hairbrush.
